This collaborative meeting will provide the 7th and 8th grade special education teams with dedicated time to discuss incoming 8th grade students with IEPs. Teachers will review student needs, accommodations, behavior intervention plans, communication supports, and other individualized services to ensure a smooth transition into the upcoming school year. Special education grade level teams will come together to organize and finalize beginning-of-year tasks based on summer curriculum work. This is a dedicated time to align priorities, finalized materials to be disseminated, review student caseloads, and ensure all systems are ready for a strong start to the year.
