Participants will review the importance of fluency when it comes to comprehension and gain an understanding of how to use benchmark CBM data to plan instruction.
Participants will learn about the new writing about reading framework that the district is phasing in for all K-5 ELA curriculum. The Claim-Evidence-Evidence and Claim-Evidence-Reasoning framework will be embedded into all ELA units over time. This session will explain the rationale, vertical alignment, and general overview of the new framework.
