Sometimes IEP accommodations can feel overwhelming and even unfair to the general ed population. This session will explain why accommodations are important to students' success and how they "level the playing field" in most cases.
This session provides dedicated time for special education teachers and their co-teacher(s) to collaborate. Teams will review IEPs, plan for accommodations and modifications, and align instructional strategies to meet students’ needs from day one.
Keeping Your Brain Healthy” is a presentation about brain health throughout life especially in one’s adult years. Attendees will learn about: the differences between normal aging and dementia; what dementia means and the most common types; why early evaluation for a memory concern is important; everyday behaviors and actions that help protect the brain; and community resources related to dementia.
