This session will focus on how to foster success through intentional, purposeful, and positive relationships with students and each other. It will examine the importance of creating a sense of belonging within a classroom setting, as well as examples of activities that can enhance student ownership in their education process.
We will examine how the intentional focus on developing meaningful relationships improve the social-emotional competence among students and staff, and how that can be leveraged into greater engagement and motivation.
The session will also provide simple, tangible strategies and resources to use and incorporate into your classroom. Discussion and classroom-based activities focused on the role identity and values play in students developing a sense of purpose in school will also be highlighted.
